Configuració del filtre de blasfemia i insults amb Silkroad vSRO Filter (Guard)
One of the basic rules of server management is to ensure in-game peace on Silkroad private servers and to prevent advertising or swearing in general chat channels (Global, All, Party, Guild). This blocking process is usually done through Guard (Filter) software running in front of the server or procedures on SQL Server. In this guide you will learn about filter configuration.
Method 1: Blocking Words via Guard (Filter) Program
If you are using an up-to-date vSRO Guard software (KServer, Edx, Versus, F8, etc.) on your server, profanity blocking is done directly from the filter interface or from txt files in the filter's folder:
- Navigate to the server folder where your Guard software is installed.
- located in the folder FilterWords.txt, BannedWords.txt Open the word list file with a similar name.
- Write down the swear words, slang words or rival server advertising links that you want to block, **one word per line**.
- Make sure the list is reflected in the game by pressing the "Reload" or "Refresh" button from the Guard panel. When players try to write these words, the word will either appear as an asterisk (*) or the filter will automatically give dc to the player.
Method 2: Creating a Chat Filter via SQL Server
