At the same time, you should block malicious IP addresses that harm the server through the firewall. Here's how to use Windows Advanced Firewall.

Part A: Opening Ports in Windows Advanced Firewall

Part B: Completely Blocking a Malicious IP Address from Incoming Traffic

• Type the attacker IP address you want to block and click OK.
